Leather-like

Cardigan: Zara
White tank: H&M (similar)
Waxed Denim Skinnies: H&M (similar)
Hat: Forever21 (similar)
Shoes: Target

It may be spring, but it's still chilly in nyc! At least on the days that these photos were taken.
This cozy cardigan and my pom pom hat kept me warm.
These wax denim skinnies from H&M are my new favorite. They add a perfect amount of cool to any look, especially with wedge sneakers. I'm going to be rocking them well into the spring, with bright tanks and strappy sandals.

Hang in there, it's almost the weekend!

Korres Zea Mays Blush - No 44 Orange

Korres Orange, one of the first blushes I ever purchased, had been sitting at the bottom of my collection for years after I accidentally dropped and shattered it. I finally patched it up with a few drops of rubbing alcohol (instructions here) because it really is one of the most beautiful blushes I own.

It looks scarily dark in the pan, but on the skin it shows up as a fluorescent pink-coral. It has gold shimmer running through it that brightens it up and gives a luminous effect on the cheeks. It is one of those blushes that lifts and brightens your face as soon as you apply it. Best of all, it has a completely silky invisible finish, so it blends right into the skin.
Now that I have the full, intact blush again, I am going to wear it all throughout spring/summer.
Love it!

The Fringe Bag

Jacket - H&M (similar)
Knit Tee - Zara
Pants - H&M (similar)
Sneakers - Target
Bag - Nordstrom (same bag here and here)
If you can't tell, I'm really in love with my jackets right now. They have definitely refreshed my wardrobe this season; the possibilities are endless!

I'm trying out the wedge sneaker trend with these target ones, and so far I LOVE them. As with most trends, I thought they were ridiculous looking when I first saw them, but now I think, they just make sense. A sneaker + heel gives you added height and confidence in your step, while giving off the impression of a casual shoe.

One last thing that I am stupidly excited about. I found this fringe bag while exchanging something at Nordstrom, and I couldn't leave it. It was the fringe bag that I had always been looking for. A few days later, while perusing Millie Mackintosh's (from Made in Chelsea) style diary, I found the same exact bag, down to every detail, in one of her outfit posts. Millie is one of my favorite style icons so this obviously made my day

Hope you are all enjoying your week!

Holy Grail #1

1. Johnson's baby oil - Bioderma is great, but for me, nothing beats good old baby oil for removing makeup. It gets everything and anything off, it's cheap, and accessible. A must have at all times.

2. Illamasqua Katie - I reach for this almost everyday, it has kind of made my other blushes obsolete. Katie is the cutest pale pink, that goes with everything, it's intensely pigmented, and smells like bubblegum.

3. MAC Groundwork - this was one of my first MAC purchases ever, and I've been using it as an eyeshadow base since then. It suits my skintone a little better than painterly as an everyday base, and brings out the best in brown/taupe eyeshadows.

4. L'occitane Almond Oil - the most luxurious post shower treat ever. I doubt I will ever stray from this, but I have to stop myself from using it sometimes because it is so expensive. It's perfect for giving your legs a silky glow before going out.

5. Origins Make a Difference Plus - almost out of this, and I will definitely repurchase it! See my review here

6. Shiseido eyelash curler - really easy to control to get the curl you want. It is less rounded than some other ones, so you can get in closer to the root of the lashes. Better than the Shu Uemura!

7. Mario Badescu enzyme revitalizing mask - one of the few skin care products I've tried that actually does something to your skin. This is a natural exfoliating mask that is like a 15 minute mini-facial. Love doing this mask to relax and refresh my skin.

8. The Body Shop pink brown lip liner - a natural, "grown-up" nude lip liner. I use this under really beige nudes to make them less stark or on its own with a light lipgloss. It works under anything.

9. MAC 208 - this is the only brush I will use for gel liner. I fail miserably at using fine liner brushes like the MAC 210. You get a lot of control with this one because of the structured angle, making flicks and precise lines - thick or thin - super easy.

10. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal - liquid gold! Depotted into an old jar because the packaging broke. Otherwise, a perfect product for subtle dewey highlight.

Cobalt

I didn't plan on matching my nails to my pants, but I guess I’m really liking cobalt at the moment. It started when I tried this topshop jacket on, and I fell in love with the color. I love that H&M has affordable pants that come in all colors and trends. These have a stretchy, snug fit and cutoff right around the ankle.
The tank I'm wearing, also from H&M, has become a go-to basic for me. It has black contrast trim on the sleeves which transforms if from a plain layering tank to a stand-alone piece. Can you tell I’ve been on an H&M binge recently?

Jacket - H&M
Tank - H&M
Pants - H&M
Heels - Zara
Necklace - Forever21
Clutch - Forever21
Nails - H&M: blue my mind

Wow, I just realized my nail polish was also from H&M.
Sorry for boring the crap out of you.

Burberry No21 Midnight Brown

Oh my god. This eyeshadow has made me re-evaluate my entire collection and seriously consider collecting only Burberry eyeshadows from now on. And maybe if I had unlimited $$$, I could do that, but for now I have been cherishing my Burberry Sheer eyeshadow in Midnight Brown.

Midnight Brown is in between a warm and a cool brown with multicolored microshimmers running through it in the pan that translate into a beautiful silver sheen on the lids. What differentiates this eyeshadow from similar muddy browns by MAC, Urban Decay, etc is the sheerness with which it applies. If you apply it in layers, it can go from a super sheer hint of a shadow on your lids, to a dramatic smokey eye. I've been wearing this, blended over the lids with a big fluffy brush and on the lower lashline, with just mascara, no eyeliner. I stole the look from Tanya Burr; it makes me feel high fashion.

The packaging, of course, is gorgeous. Everything about this eyeshadow, from the embossed burberry check to the creamy texture is perfect. I highly recommend you check these out, they definitely live up to the hype!

Next on my list are Rosewood and Pale Barley. Any other recommendations?
